OMG, Azure Striker Gunvolt is the new Mega Man ZX ⊟
Inti Creates (Mega Man Zero/ZX) announced this beauty at BitSummit, and it’s coming out exclusively for eShop this summer in Japan. Considering there are English subtitles and an ESRB rating is pending, a North American release for Azure Striker Gunvolt seems like a sure bet.
I’m thinking of unfollowing any blog where I see SJW shit, whether it’s to agree with it or hate on it.
If you wanna be negative ‘bout everything and then some it’s your right but I’ll be over there being optimistic, enjoying life and being a good person without needing any dumb labels like “ally” or feeling like I gotta reblog to mock or correct everyone who’s wrong about something. And obviously I’m not talking about well-written, educated posts that actually address issues in a smart and respectful way.
I can’t understand how it’s hard to just ignore stupid stuff instead of adding fuel to the fire. I can’t understand how some of y’all follow blog that you KNOW will make you mad like wtfsocialjustice. It’s like you wanna feel rightfully outraged, like you wanna point fingers at anything dumb and go “LOOK HOW DUMB THIS IS, GLAD I’M BETTER THAN THIS!”. Go take a walk or work out or study or something. You’re better than this. Or you’ll grow up and realize “damn, I shoulda been better than this”.
Anyways I’m going to bed
The “90’s Kid” nostalgia wave is so maddeningly ubiquitous that we allow stupid shit like this new Shaq Fu game to even have a hope of coming to fruition.
It’s already been done, so the novelty isn’t there anymore…so really what’s the point of this? Do people think it’s clever and quirky to support a remake of a shitty game that came out 20 years ago?
Another point I want to make is that there seems to be more hype surrounding this new Shaq Fu game than there was for the new Robocop movie. Robocop was automatically tossed aside as another bland big budget action movie that wants to take advantage of the current trend in nostalgic media, but Shaq Fu is COOL and UNIQUE and FUNNY…and already been done, just like Robocop….meaning that this isn’t even about making a cool new game that pushes the market paradigm of what’s perceived as a good product, it’s about making money on stupid kids that think that anything from the past is cool.
The thing that gets me the most is that people are actually PAYING MONEY to fund this game’s production. There’s literally nothing but 2 screenshots that don’t even look like a playable game, and 4 videos; 1 cinematic trailer and 3 videos of old people telling really bad jokes about how they came across the idea. So that’s another point in the nostalgia bucket, because they know that no matter what they show people are going to get hyped because it’s associated with a controversial product from the past.
You are stupid for wanting this game. dumbdumbdumbdumbdumb

Doujin cover of “Splash Wave” from OutRun.
Last January, former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal jokingly addressed rumors of a sequel to the 16-bit fighting game Shaq Fu, mentioning that it was coming soon. Well, it turns out that he really wasn’t joking at all, as Big Deez Productions has just…
